Airbrush Practice...

This week we've been practicing, getting ready for Saturday.
Everyone's getting excited!!! The Urban Art Program is really growing...we now have 26 students! You are all definately keeping Ms. M. very busy! You're enthusiasm inspires me to keep doing more...
Posted below are a few pics from airbrushing tattoos.
Don't forget...Sat, MS #4....big art show & sale.
Sable, the group mascot (my dog) will be there, as well as Mr. Marino....he'll be heading up the airbrush production (he's been painting & using spray guns for yrs.).

Getting off to a good start...

Hey gang, we're getting off to a good start. I've started meeting with you already this week, so by next week you should have a sketch book to bring to group. This yr I'm requiring that you do at least 1 sketch per week and have one of your teachers fill out the behavior/academic log. You can get one on my door (304). The only way you are going to improve your skills is by drawing....a lot....
I've ordered the airbrush tattoo paints and picked out 5 stencils that should be simple enough for us to do well.
Keep Oct 2nd open...I'll need all of you to help sell! Remember, you can earn community service hrs. by assisting (including my students who graduated last yr...Deja).

Groups will be starting this week. So far the groups are as follows:
Tues: 8:45-10:15...Genesis & Jada
Wed: 1:15-2:45...Chris; Josh; Steven; Shanta
Thurs: 1:15-2:45...Devon
Fri: 1:15-2:45...Felix; Alberto; Lisandro; Rashawn; Jose

I expect the groups to grow in size, and I will add a Monday group as well.
If you've filled out an application, please let your teacher know so that I can have it.

Hi guys, I found most of you today in your new classes...I started handing out permission forms for group this year. Don't forget to bring it in to me!!! Make sure u get a pass from your teachers.
For new students interested, you can either download an application online or come see me in my room (304).
I've already got events planned and requests for custom artwork.
Our first big event will be Sat, Oct 2nd here at school. We'll be part of the Official Jersey City Artist Studio Tour. We're gonna be selling our stock of funky jewelry & prints of your drawings. We're also gonna be doing airbrush tattoos for customers...so we'll need to practice asap.
