A few of us, Sierra, Steven, Amina & Ms Marino went after school today to add the finishing touches. I am so proud of my kids! The mural came together & looks awesome! Can't wait to hang our stuff in the windows on Tues.  The weather was with us today. We got a lot accomplished. We focused on outlining today, touching up & spray painting the background. We plan to work on it again tomorrow (Thurs) after school. We've been meeting a lot of different folks out here each day, thanks for stopping by & talking to us. Everyone's invited to our big party next Friday, June 1st at 3pm. We're going to celebrate outside Hudson Art Supply. Ok, not at all an ideal day for painting murals outside, but we're on a tight schedule, so it's gotta get done. The morning group tried to wait the rain out, but by 10am, we decided to just get wet and walk up to Hudson Art Supply. Once we got our tent up we started painting as best we could. There were a few areas rain dripped down the mural, which obviously made the paint run. Oh well, part of the fun & learning experience for the students. Hopefully it doesn't get too messed up over nite. Ms. Marino came back up to JC last nite to lay out the students' character design. We will begin painting Monday morning! We had 2 great days in Hoboken & Van Vorst Park. Thank you to all my students who spent the day, and all who supported us. Check us out...Van Vorst Park, Jersey City 11am-5pm!
