I just posted some photos from the JC Festival, May 22nd. We had a great day & sold a lot of merchandise. Students who manned the tent (while they weren't getting airbrushed tattoos) were: Jose, Felix, Rashawn, Lisandro, Noel, Chris, Deja, & Jada. A special thanks to Javon & Destiny (Felix's sister) who stayed w/ us all day & helped take care of Sable (my black lab). Students were able to sell prints of their blackbook drawings, drew graffiti names for customers, hang out, eat icies, and chill.
The group raised over $200 collectively, met some local artists we hope to collaborate with, and are working on sketches for a commissioned banner for a business in NYC.
