This year four students and Ms Marino worked on the mural. John Torres, David Guzman, Varun Kumar & Johnaton Teesdale did all the hard work. Make sure to stop by Hudson County Art Supply, 303 First Street in Jersey City to see it during the month of May. This year we started our mural before the weather gets too hot! We were out on the street Friday, May 2nd and got a lot up. Now we'll spend the rest of next week putting our skills to use. Students collaborated, pulling elements from what they learned in art class, and incorporated them into the mural. Our plan is to do a lot of blending & fading colors, adding detail, and some bling. Check us out Mon - Fri (5/5-5/9) outside Hudco. Art Supply from 12:30-2:20pm. Ms. Marino broke out the spray paint & airbrushes to teach blending and fading colors. |
I love art and can't imagine my life without it! I've been working with students in Jersey City for the past 13 yrs~ doing what I love. My students inspire me, and I hope I return the inspiration back. ~Ms. Marino Archives
